Audience Settings

Pre-defining audiences in your ESP and assigning those audiences to your SmarterSends groups can be a powerful feature when combined with our flexible permissioning system.

For instance, if you want your users to be able to send emails to a list of contacts but not actually have access to those contacts or the ability to upload new contacts, you can remove the permission "Manage Contacts" from their Role. These users will then not have access to the Audiences section of the site but will still be able to send emails to any audiences assigned to their group.
