Campaign Tags

Between our Merge Tags, Content Areas, and Group Content Areas you already have a lot of flexibility in personalizing the content of your campaigns being sent through SmarterSends. But why not more? How about even more ways to add dynamic elements to your campaigns. We've been working closely with some of our clients to bring you Campaign Tags.

These are like merge tags but they allow you to dynamically add information about the campaigns created by your users to the campaigns or your reporting automatically.

For instance, our Braze customers can add message extras to their templates which passes additional data to the reporting flow or maybe you want to add a dynamic campaign name to your UTM parameters using our Auto Append to URLs feature. Well now you can.

The following tags can be added to your templates and campaigns to automatically bring in the information about that campaign.

• %%campaign_name%%
• %%campaign_subject%%
• %%campaign_from_name%%
• %%campaign_from_address%%
• %%campaign_reply_to_address%%
• %%campaign_template_name%%

These tags will be replaced with the information about the campaign automatically making your content and reporting data even more powerful.

For even more functionality, you can add "_encoded" to any of the above tags to get a url encoded value perfect for UTM parameters:
